Research TECHNICIANS AND INTERNS

Job Description

These temporary positions are seasonal, full-time positions.  We need your help from May 2008 through August 2008.  There will be full-time on-going Research Technician positions available beginning in September 2008 which we hope to fill from our seasonal employees. 

We also anticipate a number of part-time technician positions to be available during the traditional academic year, if you have available transportation. 

We hope to be able to offer internships beginning in the fall of 2008. 

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have (or be pursuing) a BS in Horticulture or other Applied Agricultural field, as well as 2-4 years experience. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and be willing to work in adverse weather. Work days and workday hours may be negotiable, but long days and weekend work will occur on a regular basis. A Pennsylvania driver's license will be required. 

Job Location

GardenGenetics™ research farm, Bellefonte, PA  16823 United States. When hired, successful candidates for full-time on-going positions will be expected to relocate to within 30 min of the farm.
